It's no longer new that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S24 series on the 17th of January. This is Samsung’s first mobile phone equipped with self-developed generative AI functions, called “Galaxy AI”.

This AI function will be used to implement a variety of new features, such as real-time translation during calls, image object removal tools, etc., and these features will all run locally on the device and do not require an Internet connection.

According to SamMobile, last year’s flagship models such as the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 will also receive these AI feature pushes.

SamMobile reported that these AI features will be updated through One UI 6.1 and will be pushed to flagship models such as the S23 series, Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in the first quarter of this year.

This means that users of these models can also enjoy the S24’s AI features, such as real-time translation of different languages during calls, removal of unwanted objects when taking photos, adding or replacing backgrounds in videos, etc.

However, it remains to be verified whether these AI functions can run perfectly on older models. After all, the S24 series is designed specifically for these AI functions, with more powerful processors, more memory, and optimized software. Moreover, Samsung has not yet made any official statement about this update, so users need to be cautious about this news and not expect too much.

In addition, SamMobile also revealed that Samsung S24 Ultra will have two online exclusive colors, namely "Glacier White" and "Deep Sea Blue". These two colors will only be available on Samsung’s official website or selected online retailers, and will not be sold in physical stores. This is also a strategy adopted by Samsung to attract more online buyers.
